Comfrey leaf tea is a nutritious, natural fertilizer for you to feed your plants. Comfrey is easy to grow in many parts of the world, it sends its roots deep down into the ground and brings up the minerals into its leaves, making it high in Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Iron, Calcium and other minerals, the perfect choice for making a vegan fertiliser and you don’t have to be vegan to use it.
There are no harmful chemicals involved in this fertilizer so it is adding to the soil and plants and not making your garden need higher amounts each year like most commercial fertilizers and it’s free!!!
To make Comfrey Leaf fertilizer or Comfrey leaf tea as many call it,
Add Comfrey leaves (and flowers too if it is that time of year) to a bucket of water,
Make sure leaves are submerged; place the lid on and let somewhere for 6 weeks or more.
It will stink, so put the bucket somewhere down wind and be prepared when you open the lid.
Dilute the Comfrey leaf fertiliser with water to look like a weak tea and water your veggies, herbs, fruit trees and flowers for a beautiful and or delicious harvest.
The left over leaves are perfect for adding to the compost heap.
This process can also be done with Alpaca, Chicken, Duck, Sheep, Cow, Horse Poo to name a few but when you are living in a small space this is a nutritious option to feed your plants safely and like I mentioned already FREE!!!
Don’t give your money to the big chemical companies to grow your food and lovely flowers, take control of your wellbeing, take care of your soil and you will be rewarded with the benefits in the long term.
