Muscovy Ducks Mate / Mating Muscovies fertilizing duck eggs
How a Drake Fertilises a Duck Egg
Backyard Muscovies, a duck and a Drake, need to mate if you want fertilised eggs to eventually get ducklings.
A muscovy duck will lay her egg daily or every second day and once she is happy with the amount of eggs she has laid in her nest (even if you’ve been collecting them or they’re not fertile) she will probably go broody and sit on them for 35 days.
If the eggs were fertilised and all went well, the eggs will hatch out with Muscovy Ducklings.
Happy homesteading
