Seasons Late Mid Autumn - See what is happening in the pantry larder and the vegetable garden on the homestead.

Cinnamon Bun Recipe

6 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter (room temperature)

1 1/3 Cups warm water

1 Tablespoons active dry yeast

2 Tablespoons Honey

3 1/2 Cups plain (all purpose) Flour (plus extra for rolling out dough)

1 teaspoon fine salt

3/4 Cup white sugar

1/3 Cup packed brown Sugar

1 table spoon ground Cinnamon

- Brush insert of 6 quart slow cooker dish with butter

- Line with butter greased Parchment paper

- Combine water, yeast and honey in a small mixing bowl

let stand for 5 minutes

- in a large mixing bowl mix Flour and Salt then add in water mix

once combined kneed for 5 minutes then let stand for 10 minutes

- Mix Butter, Sugars and cinnamon in a medium bowl until smooth

- Roll out dough into a rectangle approximately 9 x 15 inches

- cover with Sugar mixture, roll up, slice and place in slow cooker

- cook on high for 90 minutes, rotating insert at 1 hour

- have a tea towel under lid as shown to absorb moisture.
