in this video I am making my delicious Banana Walnut Loaf Recipe.
I have been making this for over 30 years and it is a great loaf to freeze too, so you can always have some on hand for surprise guests.
How to make this BANANA WALNUT LOAF RECIPE
Heat your oven to 180C or 360F
In a jug add wet ingredients
1 large egg
2 chopped bananas
Juice of 2 Oranges
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
Mix all wet ingredients together.
In the second jug add dry ingredients
1 cup Self Raising Flour
1 cup Wholemeal Self Raising Flour
1/4 cup Raw Brown Sugar
1/4 cup broken up Walnuts
Mix all dry ingredients together
Make a well in dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients
Mix by hand until all ingredients are mixed together
Bake in a well greased (or non stick) cake tin, approximately 20cm square (8 inches) Cook for about 45 minutes (All ovens vary so please keep an eye on it and don't ignore the timer)
To Freeze this Banana and Walnut Loaf
Cut cooled loaf into potion sizes and store in a sealed, freezer safe container, so loaf pieces aren't touching. You can wrap separately if you want to store in the freezer for a while.
